COLONEL MAHIP CHADHA was commissioned in 1966 into The Second Battalion The Third Gorkha Rifles; one of the finest battalions in the world which had the honour of winning two Victoria Crosses in WWI.
The battalion saw action in both the World Wars returning to India after a final stint in Pakistan, and was taken over by Indian Officers at Ferozepore. Colonel Chadha retired in Jun 2000, after which he worked in various jobs till he finally retired as the President of Helios Aviation. He turned to writing after the demise of his wife Kiran in 2010.
Dr Mohit Nayal was commissioned in 3 GUARDS (1RAJ RIF) in Dec 1999. The Officer apart from serving with his Mechanised Battalion in various places within the Western Sector has also done tenure in Jammu & Kashmir with the Rashtriya Rifles at Baramulla. Presently, the officer is posted with a Mountain Division which is committed in counter insurgency operations in Manipur. Mohit is a PhD in Political Science and his academic area of interest is China and the Central Asian region.
